Why Study a Foundation Year with us?

A Foundation Year can help develop key academic, personal and study skills as part of your University of Chester undergraduate experience. Our courses are delivered by a dedicated team who provide academic and pastoral support through a mixture of: lectures, one to one tutorials, demonstrations, seminars and workshops.

Lectures are delivered at Gateway House in the centre of Chester as well as on the Parkgate Road and Kingsway campuses where students are introduced to specialist computing and science laboratories, or art and design workshops. Gateway House is located in the centre of Chester meaning students have easy access to everything the city has to offer.

As a student at the Centre for Foundation Studies, you are part of the University community and encouraged to take advantage of all aspects of student life including sports, societies and extra-curricular activity.
