History at Chester - Daddy, What Did YOU Do in the Great War?

As far as the British government was concerned, the answer to this question was simple: men of military age should volunteer for the army and then fight – normally in the trenches of the Western Front – to defend their homes, family and country. As this well-known poster implied, the First World War was certainly not the time for a healthy young man to be sitting at home in a comfortable armchair; his place was instead at the front.

If you’re in the process of filling in your UCAS application and deciding on your future university, you’ll have probably attended a few open days by now. Visiting in person is the best way to see and feel if an institution is right for you. Although we know it can be difficult to fit all the open days in, with so many of them landing on the same weekends.

Children’s Nursing at Chester: Where Will It Take You?

Our Children’s Nursing course at the University of Chester promotes a hands-on approach, with 50% spent out in practice in a wide variety of settings across Cheshire and the Wirral.

If you’d like to study Children’s Nursing with us, it’s worth thinking about where you’d consider for a placement in advance. If you’re invited to interview, you will be asked to select your practice placement choice on the day. If you’re successful, you will be assigned a placement in the offer you receive.

To help you understand the options, here’s some more information on where you could put your skills into practice.

Your Career Can Happen All Over the World with Our Events Degree
