The Employer Engagement Team, within Careers and Employability, is responsible for engaging with employers and recruiters in order to develop and maintain effective relationships between them, University of Chester academic colleagues and our students and graduates. The team is made up of experienced individuals whose primary aim is to be proactive in facilitating interactions which enable organisations and individuals to develop and fulfil their potential.

Employer Pathways, our approach to employer engagement, was introduced with the purpose of enabling us to deliver a high standard of service to all employers that we work with, at a level of engagement which meets their current requirements, and to progress our relationships as appropriate - i.e. at a Gold, Silver or Bronze level.

Gold Employers

Gold Employers engage with two or more employability-enhancing activities per academic year. Each Gold Employer is assigned a dedicated Faculty Business Partner and their account is managed with the use of a Partnership Development Plan which outlines the employer’s scheduled interventions during the academic year.

As at Silver and Bronze levels, Gold Employers can advertise their vacancies, at no cost, on our CareerHub system.

Silver Employers

Silver Employers engage with one employability-enhancing activities per academic year. They also have access to members of the Employer Engagement Team to discuss their needs as and when required. As at the Bronze level, Silver Employers can advertise their vacancies, at no cost, on our CareerHub system.

Bronze Employers

Bronze Employers are those organisations whose requirements are met by advertising their employment opportunities to our students and graduates, at no cost, on our CareerHub system.

NB: we are keen to actively support employers who wish to progress from being a Bronze to a Silver or Gold Employer, through the development of strong employer partnerships.
