Volunteering
Visit our VolunteerHub to access our online services which support your volunteer journey. This is your one-stop shop for all things volunteering, including over 100 volunteer opportunities available within the local community for you to apply for. You can also find information on the following projects:
- Student-led projects - Projects run by students, for students. We have a range of projects available for you to volunteer in and can also support you in setting up your own project!
- Students in Schools - Open for applications between September- October annually, Students in Schools gives our students the opportunity to volunteer in local schools across Cheshire and the Wirral.
- Peer Mentoring - Got questions about university? Or simply want to meet someone new? The Peer Mentoring scheme allows you to connect with a student like yourself, who is there to welcome you to the University community, answer your questions – big or small – and share their experiences with you. You can also sign up to be a Mentor yourself from the February of each academic year!
- UCV (University of Chester Volunteering) Awards - Receive well-deserved recognition for your volunteering through our UCV awards! Participants are encouraged to realise their full potential and see their volunteering documented on their Higher Education Academic Record (HEAR). Recipients of our awards will also be invited to our annual Celebration Event – which is a great chance for networking with providers, staff, and fellow students!
