Chester Business School works in partnership with a number of local, national and global organisations and universities to develop its research projects, consultancy and business engagement.

We have developed a successful partnerships with a number of North American universities. This has led to student exchanges, the development of a successful business/tourism based summer school and joint research projects.

Chester Business School also has extensive links with a number of Chinese universities. This has resulted in Visiting Professors from Chester working in partnership to develop curricular, student exchanges and research projects.

Applied research also plays a key part in or approach to working with organisations and other universities. We have worked with locally, we have worked on projects with Wirral NHS Trust and Liverpool City Council. Internationally we have been involved with an EU Valeru project we conducted for Russian universities wanting to develop systems that would enable the accreditation of prior learning in HE. We have also developed programmes for Japanese managers working within UK organisations.

Specific area of current research interest are: Sport & Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain Modelling, Sustainable Tourism Development, Food Engineering and Resilience in the Workplace.
