Life at Chester Medical School
Chester Medical School isn't all just about study. There are great opportunities to contribute both inside and outside the University.
Chester Medical School isn't all just about study. You will be joining a vibrant community where we will grow and develop together. There are great opportunities to contribute both inside and outside the University, something embodied in our Citizen Student Strategy. You will meet and make life-long friends with people studying medicine, but also other health-related subjects, professional courses, and many other subjects.
Outside class, you will have the opportunity to excel in your chosen sports, participate in new ones, and join the many clubs and societies organised by our Students Union. You can explore historic Chester, with the most complete city walls, the oldest racecourse, and the largest Roman amphitheater in Britain together with an architecturally-imposing cathedral. Walk, cycle, or jog around the many miles of canal towpaths. Within easy travelling distance are the mountains of North Wales, and the large cities of Liverpool and Manchester.
A range of accommodation options are available. Please see the main University website for more details.
Above all, Chester Medical School is built on a culture of mutual support and kindness, equipping our students to become the best possible clinicians and scientists.
