About Mr Chris Davis
My career in forensic investigation began in New Scotland Yard and I worked and trained in London in the specialisms of forensics for twenty years. I am experienced in the practical skills of crime scene examination, fingerprints, laboratory work and the preparation and presentation of expert witness evidence at criminal courts. I was a qualified forensic instructor and assessor.
Teaching
I am programme leader of the Forensic Biology programme. I also run the Wildlife Crime module on the MSc Wildlife Conservation Programme.
I have been teaching at the University of Chester since 2005.
Research
I am a member of The Chartered Society for Forensic Sciences, The Fingerprint Society, Society of Experimental Biology, The Royal Society of Biology and The Universities Federation for Animal Welfare
