Why Visit on a Campus Tour?

There really is no better way to get a feel for our campuses than by visiting in person. Our student-led campus tours are designed to give you the opportunity to explore the general student facilities across our Exton Park, University Centre Warrington and University Centre Shrewsbury sites before commencing your studies this September, 2021.

Tours are currently restricted to those applying for 2021 entry. If you are thinking of applying for 2022 entry, please register for updates on our upcoming virtual talks and tours. Don’t forget, you can also book your place on an October or November Open Day now.

Campus Tours and COVID-19

The safety of visitors, students and staff is our upmost priority. We have put the following procedures in place to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable visit:

  • Tour numbers are capped to comply with the rule of six (visitors can be accommpanied by one guest).
  • Social distancing will be adhered to at all times.
  • Hand sanitising stations will be located in key areas.
  • Staggered tour times and a contactless sign-in system will reduce crowding and queues.
  • Face coverings are required inside buildings (unless exempt).
  • Visitors are encouraged to take a COVID-19 test prior to arrival if possible.
  • Tours are outdoors only until 17th May at the earliest (according to UK Government guidlines).

Please note, we continue to monitor government guidelines and will notify you of any changes. If campus tours are cancelled or rearranged due to the impact of COVID-19 we hope you’ll understand that the University of Chester will not be liable for any loss or damage such as travel and accommodation costs. Visitors are required to adhere to travel restrictions within their area which may prevent them from travelling to the tour.

How it Works

From Wednesday 28th April you'll have the opportunity to view the outside of our buildings at our residential Exton Park (Parkgate Road) and University Centre Warrington sites. This is a great way to get a feel for living and studying on site, as well as a chance to chat to current students about their student experience.

From 17th May onwards, if government guidelines allow, we hope to open up our University Centre Shrewsbury site, as well as the inside of Exton Park (Parkgate Road) and University Centre Warrington.

When you enter your programme below, you’ll be directed to the appropriate booking form for your site.

What if my course is located at a different site in Chester?

We will be running a series of live virtual tours of our other Chester based teaching sites, including Wheeler, Queen's Park and Creative Campus, Kingsway, to give you the opportunity to view the subject specific facilities and put your questions to our experts. We'll notify you when bookings become available. However, as our main residential site in Chester, we would encourage you to visit Exton Park on a campus tour as this is where lots of your University experience will take place.
