About Dr Emma Nelson

In 2011, I completed a PhD in anthropology, before moving back into health studies, teaching student doctors and foundation year students.

My research interests are very broad, from human health and social behaviour to primate behaviour, Palaeolithic art, cuckoos, and salamanders.

I am a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy and find teaching hugely rewarding. Like my colleagues, I firmly believe in creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment for all students entering university.
