About Janet Taylor
I have worked at the University of Chester for over ten years and have been part of the Centre for Foundation Studies for six years.
Having worked in retail for over a decade, I took the decision to study at the University of Chester as a mature student. I completed an undergraduate degree and followed this with a postgraduate degree, whilst also juggling family and work commitments.
Having the experience of studying at the University of Chester as a mature student, and working in several departments at the university I am mindful of the challenges that students face when studying. I have a strong interest in widening participation in higher education and supporting student’s transition from foundation year to level 4 education.
