About Petra Adamova
During my studies the subjects I found the most fascinating were Human Anatomy and Embryology, which lead me to a Master’s degree (MMedSci) in Assisted Reproduction Technology at the University of Nottingham. I am a constant learner, which is why I am currently undertaking a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Liverpool John Moores University researching potential biomarkers of Congenital Heart Disease.
I have always been interested in teaching, which is why I became an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education (AFHEA). This is my first year as a visiting lecturer in Human Biology at the Centre for Foundation Studies, but am very much enjoying the learning environment at both the Chester and Birkenhead campuses. I am very passionate about the module I teach and hopefully can use my knowledge to inspire our future nurses.
