About Rob Carlisle

Rob is a level 4 football coach and works for the Football Association delivering coach education courses including the UEFA B Licence qualification. Alongside this he is also a youth development phase coach at a category one academy in the North West of England where he works with aspiring young professional footballers.

From an academic perspective his interests include; Coaching Philosophies, Coaching Pedagogy, Youth Development, Community Development & Coach Learning. He is completing a PhD examining the organisational cultures of professional football clubs.


Rob teaches across all three years on both Foundation Degree and BA (Honours) Degree undergraduate programmes at the Warrington campus. His present teaching includes the following modules:
