About Mark Hainsworth
Having initially trained in Early Years Education and having gained many years of experience teaching in the foundation stage, my career subsequently included the teaching of all seven year groups in the primary phase. I gained a significant amount of experience of teaching science to pupils with English as an Additional Language (E.A.L.) during my teaching career and have written professionally on developing EAL pedagogy in science teaching. Before taking up my present post at Chester, I was employed as a Primary Science Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University and before that, benefitted from a secondment as a Science Lecturer at Edge Hill University.
