About Sian Duffty

I am currently the Year 3 Co-ordinator on the B.Ed. programme and teach professional development education (PDE), music and on the Early Years specialism course. I am currently a University Mentor for the Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP. I have also taught Education Studies on the HEFCE programme.

I am trained as an assessor for those wishing to be recognised as having Higher Level Teaching Assistant status (HLTA). Academic interests include assessment in the primary school and in higher education, in particular self and peer assessment, emotional intelligence, learning how to learn, and students' use of creative approaches in music.

Personal interests include listening to music, playing the piano, clarinet, guitar and recorder. I enjoy walking and following the fortunes of Wales in the rugby!
