Tracey joined the University of Chester in 2016 as a visiting lecturer and was appointed to a senior lecturer position in 2020. Tracey began as a secondary school Maths teacher before becoming a Head of Year and then SENCo in a 16 year teaching career.
Tracey then became a local authority SEN Manager working across all educational sectors. Tracey teaches on a range of modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level but specialises in the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) with recent research into the effects of the SEND reforms on further education settings.
