About Daniel Jones
My PhD research is focussed on understanding the experiences of rural communities in the context of flooding. To date, research has largely focussed on the economic impacts of flooding in rural areas, yet the social implications upon rural residents remain unclear. Therefore, utilising social science methodologies, I intend to develop understandings of the flood experiences (vulnerabilities) of rural communities and focus on how endogenous factors within such community’s shape flood experience.
