About Dr John Morrow

John joined the law school as an undergraduate student, he has completed his degree and PhD within the department.  John’s PhD is entitled ‘Law students with Dyslexia and their experience of academic assessment’, it reviews the implications of equality law for students with Dyslexia alongside an exploration of their experience within legal education.

He teaches on a range of modules, with a particular focus on education, constitutional and discrimination law at undergraduate and post graduate level.

John is a Co-Director of the Forum for Research into Equality and Diversity, disciplinary platform for research into all areas of equality and diversity, hosted by the law school.  The Forum has organised and hosted a number of national events and conferences on a range of equality issues.

As part of his work in the area of discrimination law, he is a trustee, CHAWREC: Cheshire, Halton & Warrington, race and equality centre.  A Charity who works to tackle discrimination and provides discrimination in employment case work and advice.

Teaching

John teaches across a range of modules, with a particular focus on constitutional law and discrimination law at undergraduate and post graduate level:

  • Employment and Discrimination Law (Level 7)

His present research and work focuses on the following areas:

  • Higher Education and Dyslexia
  • Assessment in Higher Education
  • Sexual harassment and employment

Supervision proposals

He would welcome enquiries from those wishing to read for a PhD degree in the area of discrimination law, especially in relation to his research areas.
