The Institute of Policing sits within the Faculty of Social Science and is located in Blatchford Hall on the University Centre Warrington campus. The building is well equipped and provides a dynamic learning environment for undergraduate students wishing to pursue a career in law enforcement.

Courses are delivered by academic staff  who are retired experienced police officers possessing a wealth of knowledge and subject expertise, supported by academic staff with specialist subject and research expertise. Teaching is supplemented by significant contributions from operational subject specialists and partner agency practitioners to enhance your learning experience. 

You will learn how to apply your knowledge via practical-based scenarios utilising a variety of bespoke Policing Skills labs, including the Hydra immersive learning suite, a crime scene house, a custody suite, interview suites, a mock court room, a simulated road policing scenes and IT Labs.
