About Phil Moran
Phil is responsible for developing the revised Carbon Management Plan and implementing projects to reduce energy consumption and meet our carbon targets. He monitors the energy and water consumption at the University and identifies opportunites to reduce demand.
Phil encourages people to use energy and water responsibly, sustainably and as efficiently as possible. Phil joined the University of Chester in 2014 from an electrical and Building Energy Management Engineering background. As a member of the Energy Managers Association he is passionate about his work, addressing the challenges presented by a multi-campus University with residential, educational research and industrial aspects.
Phil has over 25 years’ experience working in a range of settings from family run businesses to large global corporations developing his specialist skills in building control and energy management. He is always looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and install renewable technology aimed at reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions through education, support and collaboration.
