With our Easy Transfer Scheme, it needn’t be the big deal that you think it is. Our team is here to make the process as seamless as possible.

Here's how we'll make your move as smooth as possible

To help make your transfer to the University of Chester a smooth and swift process, we’ll ensure that everything you need is in place prior to enrolling. Here’s how it works:

  1. Apply now or request a call-back

    If you know you want to apply to Chester, simply see the section below to see how you can apply now. If you’re unsure about anything or would like to discuss your circumstances, then complete the registration form and we’ll call you back to discuss your options.

  2. Application

    Once you have applied, the team will consider your application and whether we can make you an offer. At this point, we’ll make it clear at which level we are offering you a place and when we anticipate you starting on the course.

  3. Transition

    The team will also help you with all the practicalities of moving to a new university: getting your accommodation sorted; organising a personalised induction programme for you; checking whether you have any welfare requirements; etc. This should help take some of the stress out of your switch to the University.

  4. Study plan

    We'll also formulate a bespoke programme of study to ensure you are able to complete your course during the remainder of the academic year.

How to get the ball rolling

If you know you want to apply – great! The way you apply to us will vary according to your circumstances. Here’s everything you need to know:

Home/Republic of Ireland students
  • If you are looking to transfer in to the University of Chester part way through an academic year of an undergraduate course, having already started the academic year at another university.
  • Apply Now

  • If you are looking to transfer in to the University at the beginning of the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate course - please apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). If you wish to see if a transfer is possible before submitting your application to UCAS please email including a full transcript of your results so far and the module descriptors for all your modules on your current programme.
