NQT Matters

The NQT Matters programme is designed to provide you with support to ensure the best possible outcome at the end of your first year of teaching.

By pooling the wealth of experience and knowledge of the partners involved, we are able to provide a high quality and cost-effective Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme. This will not only enhance NQTs' performance and supplement in-school professional development, but also create confident and outstanding individuals as they embark on their teaching careers.

The NQT Matters programme provides:

• Three conferences on timely and appropriate themes in order to share best practice. These cover vital aspects of pedagogical practice and other areas which complement in-school training.
• Sessions devised and delivered by current practitioners, experts in their specialist fields of knowledge.
• Opportunities to access support which links into completion of the statutory NQT Portfolio to gain 20 M-level credits.
• Advice and guidance for NQT Induction Tutors, with impact tracking available to monitor results.

We know that the start of a teaching career is both exciting and challenging, with many teachers looking back on it as one of their most rewarding times. We also understand that it can seem quite daunting, with potential challenges making it important for you to have support, ensuring the first year is a successful and positive experience. To that end, we have developed a specific package, which works alongside the support you will be receiving in school.

In addition, there are ways that you can obtain special rates on Masters Programmes or CPD.
