Research activity in the School of Education is based on six main themes which underpin the majority of our work (as well as the exploration of Creativity, through the RECAP Centre). Each of these themes contains a range of subject matter, which provokes exploration and analysis of the issues and ideas that exist within them:
- Children and Childhoods
- Leadership and Management
- Learning and Teaching in Higher Education
- Marginalisation
- Mentoring and Coaching in Education
- Research Into Practice
Collaboration is a key element in enhancing our research and allows for greater opportunities to share information and ideas - not just between colleagues but with our doctoral students and international partners. We seek to enhance our research by welcoming contributions and collaborations from academics at other institutions and applications from prospective postgraduate research students.
