Covering this theme, are a team of researchers who seek to explore the many different aspects of creativity, using innovative methods to facilitate dramatic and artistic expression as a means to convey ideas and information.

The main focus of our research is to investigate the many ways creativity, pedagogy and culture impact, influence and relate to one another. These connections are examined throughout many disciplines across art and cultural education – in particular: contemporary art education and applied drama and theatre – and encompassed into all of our research. The group’s combined experience, expertise and interests cover a wide range of professional, organizational and educational contexts, both domestically and internationally.

At the heart of our research is the RECAP centre – a unique hub, specialising in practice-based research and focusing on creativity, learning and the arts in professional educational contexts. It serves as the centre point of a strong and vibrant circle of international partners, which we continue to develop and diversify.

For more information on how the individual members of the team conduct and implement their research, please visit our profiles or our publications pages, as well as the dedicated RECAP page.
