THE WATERFALL
Sarah Keenan

I watch the water fall
Down
Down
Down
Past the jagged rocks
And mossy, green cliff face
Into a calm, motionless pool

I have travelled far to be here
Challenged myself immensely
Defied many people

I even almost gave up

Almost

It is my destiny to be here
To see this sight
To take in the fresh, clean air
With every breath I take
To hear the sound of parrots chattering
Or toucans squawking
All soundly in their nests

I longed to feel the serenity this places offers
The chance to find myself
The chance to find a place entirely my own
