About the Event

Here at the University of Chester we are thrilled to announce that we are hosting our first hybrid Business Growth event.

This event will take place at our established business hub, the Riverside Innovation Centre as well as via Microsoft Teams.

We are returning to the ever evolving and hugely popular theme of sustainability paying close attention to the upcoming COP26 in Glasgow in November and wider regional focus on the hydrogen agenda.

Our panel of expert speakers, will discuss the importance of sustainability especially given the world’s focus on COP26 and the expectations of the ‘Greta Generation’.

Attendees will learn about local and regional priorities in addressing climate change and achieving the target of reaching Net Zero.

'The Cheshire and Warrington region is home to some major projects that are playing a critical role in the region's transition to net zero greenhouse gas emissions. But does the region have the requisite skills and supply chain capacity to realise the opportunities that these present? There is a pressing need to engage with, and capture the imagination of, the Greta generation who are so passionate about the climate and ecological emergency that we face.'

- Prof. Joseph Howe, Executive Director, Energy Research Institute, University of Chester and Chair of the North West Hydrogen Alliance.
