About the Event

Decisions about the curriculum that educational leaders make directly affect the funding that schools and colleges receive. While the approach to funding pre-16 education is largely the same, as a young person enters post-16 it changes significantly.

This talk is aimed at those working in sixth forms within schools, or working in colleges who wants to know how more about how the funding is calculated.

The talk will cover funding methodology, how it works and the impact on funding when a student either changes course or withdraws from a subject. We look at what elements are within our control and what elements are set nationally and how we can ensure that we offer a curriculum that is both appropriate for our students but also financially efficient.

Please note, that we will not be covering the funding of apprenticeships in this event.
