About the Event

Geo-bites are short, online talks that showcase the breadth and depth of Geography as a subject.

Prof Derek France explores the benefits and challengers offered by fieldwork through the immersion of the learner in the field experience.

The session will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and there will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions following the presentation. You will be sent a link to join the event on completion of the registration form.

Geo-bites talks are aimed at GCSE and A-Level students, and are designed to provide case studies and examples that enrich learning.  Presented by academic staff from the the Department of Geography and International Development who draw on their own teaching and research, Geo-bites deliver a taste of what studying Geography at university is like.
