About the Event

The University of Chester is contributing to an event with five other North West Universities to provide impartial advice and guidance to learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities and their supporters.  The event is suitable for any student with additional needs who is considering university, or those supporting this process such as parents, carers, careers advisors or SENCo staff.

This webinar aims to provide learners, parents and carers with the information they need to explore their future options. Educational professionals (Teachers, SENCO’s, Careers Advisors etc) are also encouraged to attend these events to equip themselves with the knowledge needed to support their students with additional needs to research their options and smoothly transition into higher education.

This free virtual event, brings together specialist speakers from across the universities, and Student Finance England. It will begin with a session covering Mental Health support at University and Disabled Students Allowance followed by break-out rooms providing tailored information for individuals with specific additional needs.
