About Brian Roberts

Brian completed 30 years in Policing in 2016 as a Detective Chief Inspector. He headed many departments including Criminal Investigation, Firearms Neighbourhood Policing and Intelligence. He completed his BSc in Crime & Criminology at University of Portsmouth where he also completed a Foundation Degree in Arts in Policing. He was instrumental in developing the strong partnership between The University of Chester and Cheshire Constabulary and worked with both organisations in establishing the Institute of Policing.

Published Work

I am a co author of some qualitative research that I carried out with colleagues from The Criminology and Psychology Departments at The University.

Qualifications

In 2004 I was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship in Chicago for 'making a substantial contribution to humanitarian and educational programs'.

In 2016 I was also awarded The Fellowship of Higher Education Academy (FHEA) by The University of Chester.

Foundation Degree in Arts in Policing Studies that I obtained from the University of Portsmouth to go with my Criminology Undergraduate qualifications.
