The University offers endless opportunities to help students like me achieve my ambition of becoming a Learning Disability Nurse.

I have received excellent pastoral and academic support which has led me to opportunities to develop my professional, academic and clinical skills which is required to be a competent and professional Learning Disability Nurse.

I enjoy being able to learn from tutors and mentors, as it enhances my learning. The resources that are available to me as a student nurse are so valuable and I feel privileged that I will be a Learning Disability Nurse.

You get to know the lecturers really well and vice versa, so it gives your learning experience a really personal feel.

I enjoy meeting new people whilst on placement and learning about them and their needs. I enjoy learning new skills in university and being able to apply these skills in practice.

I have felt privileged to meet the patients/service users in my practice placements and have the opportunity to get to know them and contribute to their care.
