UK Government has announced the introduction of the Graduate Route visa (Post-Study Work visa) for international students completing a degree in 2021 and beyond.

This visa will allow University of Chester Bachelor’s and Master’s degree graduates to remain in the UK and work for up to two-years after completing their studies. PhD students can stay for up to three-years.

On 4th March 2021, the UK Government confirmed that the Graduate route will open for applications on 1st July 2021.

Who is eligible?

All international students on a Tier 4/Student visa, who started a full-time programme at the University of Chester in September/October 2020 will be eligible, but MUST arrive in the UK before 21st June 2021.

Additionally, students joining programmes in January and February 2021 MUST arrive in the UK before 27th September 2021. 

Students who started their programme online will be eligible provided they arrive in the UK by the relevant dates mentioned above.

Are 2020 graduates eligible?

No. Only students who successfully complete their studies in 2021 and beyond will be eligible.

Do I need to leave the UK to apply?

No, if your Tier 4/Student visa is valid, you can apply from in the UK.
