Tell us how your degree in Business and Spanish helped you get there
I believe that my degree in Business and Spanish definitely equipped me the necessary skills to secure my role. Whilst studying, I got the opportunity to do some work shadowing where I learnt key administration skills, how to communicate with clients and fellow colleagues. Furthermore, the ability to undertake a year abroad in Spain allowed me to develop my interpersonal skills, enhance my problem-solving skills and understand how to build a good rapport with colleagues from all walks of life. This exposure, I believe I would have struggled to receive if I had studied a different course.

Aside from growing my professional career, I’ve always had a passion for making an impact in society. Based on how beneficial mentoring has been in my life (and still is), I decided to give back by setting up a charity called MentorNect which provides young adults with the ability to be e-mentored by an industry professional. We have impacted over 10 mentees so far - including working in collaboration with the University of Chester’s careers department. Our aim as an organisation is to provide support to as many young adults as we possibly can to help them advance in their lives, especially in such tumultuous times.
