Until further notice, the opening hours for the Sutton Library will be:  9:00-17:30 (Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Friday).

Thornton Science Park is home to the Sutton Library which holds a collection of books and print journals for the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Students also have access to a wealth of virtual resources in the form of e-books, electronic journals and databases, and are supported by a subject-specific library team.

Students have access to a range of study environments with bookable spaces and pods for individual and group study and a drop in silent study room. The pods contain integrative AV and whiteboards to enhance the group work experience. Additionally there is a larger presentation space where students can practice delivering presentations using the presentation equipment fitted. There is a large workspace where students can collaborate with their peers.

Drop-in PC’s and Macs are available, with laptops available to borrow and use around the building.

Just outside the library in the foyer a refreshment area with cold drink and snack vending machines can be found.

The Computing Department's Game Zone is located on the first floor of the Sutton building.
