Apply Through UCAS

Applications for all undergraduate full-time courses at Chester should be made through UCAS. UCAS is the central universities and colleges admissions service responsible for managing applications to higher education courses in the UK.

To get started with your application, go to www.ucas.com, click on the Apply and Track button and register your details.

Following your registration, you should log in to Apply using your username and password.

You can apply for up to five courses. The cost of an application through UCAS with the option of applying for more than one course is £25.00. Should you wish to apply for only one course, this will cost you £20.00.

CHSTR C55

When applying, you’ll need to know our institutional code and the course code. Our institutional code is CHSTR C55. Our course codes can be found on the UCAS website. If you wish to apply for a course based at one of the following locations, you’ll also need the campus code:

  • The Hammond School - H
  • University Centre Reaseheath – R
  • University Centre Shrewsbury – S
  • Warrington Campus – W

Timescales

Applications can be made between: 1st September - 15th January.

Applications submitted to UCAS after the 15th January may be considered by the University, but this will depend on the availability of places. So, our advice is to make sure you apply before this deadline.

Applications made after the end of June will automatically go into Clearing.

Part-time Applications

If you wish to study for a part-time course, you should apply directly to us. To receive an application form either call us on 01244 511000 or email admissions@chester.ac.uk.  Alternatively, you can download the part-time application documents you require from our website.

Entry Criteria

Before applying, make sure you check our entry criteria. With some of our degrees necessitating the study of a particular subject at Level 3 for entry onto a course, it is important that you check that you have the right qualifications before applying. Entry criteria can be found on the bottom of each course page in our prospectus and online.

Interviews and Auditions

For some of our courses, an interview or audition will be required before an offer can be made. Details of courses requiring an interview or audition can be found within the entry criteria of our course pages online and in our prospectus.
