The Faculty delivers programmes from foundation level all the way to postgraduate taught and research degree level, with a strong research ethos. Students are at the heart of everything we do, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes to become fully engaged citizens that are sought-after by employers. We value the resilience, agility and entrepreneurial spirit that allows our graduates to become future leaders.

We are organised into three main groups; Chester Medical School, Clinical Sciences and Nutrition, and Sport and Exercise Science, and are based across several sites, including Chester, Shrewsbury, Reaseheath and Warrington. In addition, we have strong links with many clinical partners such as Countess of Chester, Warrington & Halton, and Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS trusts.

Some of our degrees are aimed at those who are planning a career in applied or clinical roles such as medicine, dietetics or sports science/coaching. However, we place equal value on programmes of study that equip students for careers in laboratory, research sciences such as biotechnology, biochemistry, nutrition/food sciences, health sciences and microbiology.
