Haylo Theatre is a two-woman theatre company, founded by alumnae duo Hayley Lamb  (2012) and Louise Harris (2010). They create bespoke performances and workshops that initiate conversations on issues within the community – targeting health, social care and education sectors. This week, they will be sharing activities on our social platforms to help keep you busy at home, as part of our drama themed week.

“We are Hayley and Louise of Haylo Theatre. We are a two-woman theatre company who use the arts to explore and engage with issues affecting our communities. We offer a unique package of theatre led activities, tailor-made to meet the needs of our customers. Our work serves to highlight key issues within areas of health and social care by generating conversations. We bring together students, professionals and the public and creates a space for dialogue.

“Within our work, we focus on real stories and examine real outcomes. We seek to generate conversations about taboo subjects that affect many people’s lives, such as terminal illness, dementia and death. We speak from personal experience, and the experiences people have shared with us. Our work is non-discriminatory; the beauty of theatre is that it can bring people from all walks of life together.

“Right now, it is a challenging time for all of us. We’re all doing our best to take care of ourselves, our families, loved ones and our wider communities. Although nearly all of our current work has been cancelled or postponed, we are determined to continue to share stories and create memories. Every week we will be posting poetry, stories and musings on our social media pages, using our artistic flare to give people a reason to smile, reflect and create positivity.

“We will also be sharing some creative and fun activities that you can do at home, we would love for you to share your creations and reactions to them!”
