A selection of work from the University of Chester’s final year Art and Design Degree Show can be seen from June 28 to July 19 (11am – 4pm daily) at the Department of Art and Design’s pop-up gallery CASC (Contemporary Art Space Chester) in the Forum Shopping Centre. The Department is hosting regular exhibitions in this space throughout the summer months as it looks to help promote the visual arts to the wider audience.

The ‘Impressions: Make Your Mark’ show, which originally exhibited at the Creative Campus, Kingsway, presents the work of final year students from the undergraduate programmes: Fashion Design; Fashion Marketing and Communication; Fine Art; Graphic Design; Interior Design; Photography; and Product Design.

The body of work presented evidences the strength of the burgeoning talent that is being nurtured throughout the Art and Design courses at the University.

Chris Millward, Technical Demonstrator in Art and Design, said: “The degree exhibition was, as always, a huge success two weeks ago on Campus. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase a selection of the work to a wider public audience who may not have seen it first time around. In addition, the students will benefit enormously from this extra exposure and it places them at the heart of the city centre. The students have worked very hard in their final year at University and we hope that they enjoy the well-deserved attention that this exhibition brings.”
