The University of Chester is a CIPD Accredited Programme Provider for its Business Management degrees, bringing exciting new Human Resource Management (HRM) opportunities for Chester Business School students and graduates.
CIPD is the only professional body in the world that can confer individual Chartered status on HRM and Learning and Development professionals. It sets professional standards and provides the expertise to drive these professions forward.
Now, Undergraduate Business Management students at Chester, have the option to take Human Resource modules which are aligned to the CIPD professional standards and can achieve Associate Member Status, a mark of professionalism that is recognised worldwide - a big plus for their CVs and future careers.
This allows them to begin their professional CIPD qualifications at a higher level than they would have been able to otherwise and achieve their professional qualifications in less time.
Students will also have the opportunity to access CIPD speakers, careers advice and events as well as CIPD resources to help with their studies. They will also have access to an established network in the profession.
Senior Lecturer and HR specialist Karen Cregan, has spearheaded our CIPD provision at the University. She said: “We are delighted that our Human Resources modules are closely aligned with the CIPD and that students will be able to start on their route to chartered status here at Chester. CIPD is highly valued by employers and will add to our employability focussed courses with students having access to CIPD expert speakers and resources.”
