Student Radio Chart Show

As The Cat Radio is a Student Radio Association member, it has an opportunity to produce the ‘Student Radio Association Chart Show’ every year. The Chart Show is aired on all Student Radio Association member stations, up and down the country.

This year a group of students working on the Chart Show had an interview with The Voice winner Mo Jamil. Mo is from Warrington, and he’d performed on the Voice the night before the chart show and was releasing his first album that week, so it was a great opportunity to interview him for the show.

The Cat Radio Awards

Each March, The Cat Radio Awards are organised by our students to celebrate the effort and talent that goes into The Cat Radio. Nominations and awards are judged by industry members, and some even attend the ceremony.

In previous years, BBC 5 Live presenter Phil Williams, BBC Radio Manchester’s Emma Goswell, Bauer Radio’s Group Programme Director Owen Ryan and Bauer Radio’s Deputy News Editor Michelle Livesey have given speeches at the event.

And after the awards, there is, of course, an after-show party!
