More than 3,000 students from the University gathered together to celebrate their academic achievements over four days of graduation ceremonies, from Tuesday 5th November to Friday 8th November.
Our graduates were joined by eminent figures in their field who received honorary degrees in recognition of their outstanding contribution to their discipline.
The first set of our graduates to step through the west doors of Chester Cathedral as alumni were from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
First day of @uochester graduations ticked off at the stunning Chester Cathedral. Filling the Cathedral, our students were joined by proud parents…
Proud siblings…
Proud partners…
Proud children…
And of course, proud University staff.
Another year seeing our wonderful Chester #psychology students graduating. We are all very proud of you! #mychesterstory @UoCPsych @uochester pic.twitter.com/RRvaOCMJE1

The Cathedral quickly became full of cheers and hollers as loved ones watched their graduate cross the stage, officially becoming part of the University alumni community.
So, whether they remember the day by the people they celebrated with…
Or the milestones they reached with their partners…
Or the journey they took to get there…
This is my Uncle Al. He was written off at school by teachers who didn't understand the challenges and gifts of #Dyslexia Yesterday he graduated as a Master of Archaeology, with a distinction for his dissertation #NeverGiveUp @uochester pic.twitter.com/WjkF9Uq77m

They’ll always be an integral part of the University of Chester…
And there’s always a reason to dance like honorary Doctor of Music, Katie Derham.
Congratulations Class of 2019!
