What are your Career Highlights?
I now specialise in Asian Weddings of up to 1000 guests. Seeing the 5 day event all come together and playing a role in it is always a great achievement and highlight. Over the past year I have coordinated many special events such as fashion shows and music awards where numerous high-profile celebrities have attended. Receiving positive feedback from such high-end celebrities always is amazing!
What are the highlights of University for you?
Looking back now, university was one of the best times of my life. The highlight has to be the life long friends that I have made. A year ago, I moved to London with one of my friends who I met on the Event Management Course. Another, would be the first time I had to stand up in front of a lecture and public speak for a presentation. I had never done this before. It gave me the push that I needed and I can now confidently speak in front of people without hesitation. This is a highlight as it is always something I had struggled with in the past.
Why did you choose Event Management?
When applying to universities, and looking into courses, I had no idea what I wanted to do until my teacher reminded me how much I love to organise, socialise and attend events. It made sense and was the best fit for me.
Do you have any advice for Students and Graduates?
Attend your lessons no matter how bad the hangover is! Take every opportunity given to you and most importantly, have fun!
