Dr Sufian Fannoun, Programme Leader for the MSc said: “There is always a buzz in the room when students like this get together to tackle a problem. In today’s real-world business, graduates will see a lot of data. They need to have the skills to be able to interpret the data efficiently with the use of technology. They need critical thinking qualities to be able to make critical decisions within available resources and constraints, more importantly in a sustainable agile way. We are proud of our MSc programme that develops such graduates.
“The students have undergraduate degrees from their own country and have already worked in important roles there. The MSc in Programme and Project Management will help them take the next step to transform their careers.”
MSc student Oluwatobiloba Adewuyi said: “My first degree was a BSc in Environmental Technology and I spent five years as a Creative Director in a start-up fashion company. The entire staff at my MSc programme are fantastic; they are all eager to share their knowledge and help when required, especially when it comes to tools and resources, and this has helped me to understand my work better at every stage.
“I was successful in securing a Project Support position with a local council at the programme’s conclusion while still working on my dissertation. My final goal is to start my own project consulting firm.”
Fellow MSc student, Vivian Obuzo holds a first degree in Agricultural Economics. and worked in a construction company in Nigeria. She said: “I have developed a particular interest in sustainability and I am looking to start a career in that area. The tutors are experts in their respective fields and the course has prepared me for PRINCE2 certification. Support from my tutors has given me the confidence to follow a new path and have motivated me to further my studies for a PhD at the University of Chester.”

I would love to take up a tech role as a project manager with an organisation focussed on sustainable projects. By the end of my studies I will have professional certifications such as Scrum Master and PRINCE2® for better positioning in the industry.
