Welcome back to the blog! This week we are delighted to introduce you to our Work Based Learning students, Charles and Amin. Charles and Amin will be helping us over our busy booking period for the Honorary Alumni Degree ceremonies, as well as looking through our archives and posting on our social media.

Here they are to tell you a little more about themselves…

“I’m Charles, a second-year student, currently taking part in a five-week placement as part of my Work Based Learning module. The module is part of my undergraduate Business Management degree, which I am currently studying for at the University. My degree offers a lot of transferable skills which can be applied to numerous situations and roles.

“I chose to apply for this placement as it offered the opportunity to develop skills such as data processing, researching and communications. This will be useful in the business world when studying markets to design a business strategy. In the future, I would like to work in management roles and gain experience in different businesses and markets, before ultimately setting up my own business.”

“Hi, my name is Amin and I am an international student from Sudan at the University of Chester. I’m currently studying a BA (Hons) in Business Finance and I am in my second year. I am one of the lucky students chosen to work with the Development and Alumni Relations Office for my placement during their busy booking period for the Honorary Alumni Degree ceremonies.

“I will be helping with answering any queries, posting weekly social media updates, archiving memorabilia donated by alumni, and assisting with the booking period that opens soon. I am excited and looking forward to contributing to the success of the upcoming event.”
