The University offers over 400 course possibilities to students across a number of specialist sites in Chester, Warrington and Shrewsbury. All faculties offering undergraduate programmes will be attending the Open Day events, where visitors can take part in taster lectures, demonstrations, facility tours and put their questions to some of the University’s industry-active and award-winning academics. They will also find out more about the University’s innovative Work Based Learning Module, extra-curricular opportunities, and why 95% of its undergraduate leavers were in employment within six months of graduating (Higher Education Leavers Statistic; UK, 2016-17).

Student-led campus tours will allow visitors to explore first-hand the wide range of accommodation and campus facilities on offer.

All Chester-based sites will be open on Saturday, October 12 (Faculty of Health and Social Care only at the Riverside Campus), Saturday, October 26 (Faculty of Education and Children’s Services only at the Riverside Campus) and Wednesday, November 13. The Warrington Campus and University Centre Shrewsbury will welcome visitors on Saturday, October 19, with an additional Open Evening taking place at University Centre Shrewsbury on Thursday, November 21.

Discussing the importance of Open Days in the university decision making journey, Adam Bodger, Deputy Director of Marketing at the University, said: “Attending an Open Day is a useful starting point for prospective students researching their options. Not only does it allow them to see the facilities on offer, but also put their questions to the experts. Going to university is a big decision, that’s why we’ve designed a programme of activities that focuses on all areas of University life.

“Subject sessions, one-to-one chats with staff and students and campus tours will allow visitors to get a real taste for the University of Chester experience, what it means to be a student here and how the University can help them achieve their potential.”

The Open Days at Chester will run between 10am and 4pm.

The Open Day at Warrington will run between 10.30am and 3pm.

The Open Day at Shrewsbury will run between 10am and 3pm, with the Open Evening running from 5pm to 7:30pm.
