Whether you’re looking to further your education and take the next step into the healthcare profession or you’ve decided it’s time for a change in career, then the news of funding for all pre-registration, undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students may just confirm your decision.
As of September 2020, if you’re a student enrolling onto one of the following courses at the University of Chester’s Warrington Campus, you will receive a non-repayable annual grant of £5,000 minimum, to assist with living costs whilst you study.
- Adult Nursing
- Mental Health Nursing
At our Warrington Campus, you will benefit from a supportive, unique style of teaching with small class sizes that offer a more personalised teaching experience, making Warrington a close-knit community of like-minded professionals. As well as excellent learning resources and student support and guidance provision, staff on the course have a wide range of specialisms and expertise.
Whether it’s a career in Adult Nursing or Mental Health Nursing that interests you, our courses will enable you to develop your knowledge, skills and values within your chosen vocation to allow you to demonstrate your professional capability in the workplace. From frequent discussions about the rapid evolution of the professional practice to practical demonstrations and placement opportunities, our interactive courses will prepare you for work as a registered nurse.
So, if you are thinking of starting your university journey, it is also worth noting that as well as receiving £5,000 a year, up to £3,000 extra funding will be available for some eligible students. This includes those studying nursing pathways linked with specialist disciplines that have previously struggled to recruit (such as mental health nursing), those who require support with childcare costs and also those in regions that have seen a decrease in acceptance numbers on some nursing courses.
You can find further information about student funding on the Funding Clinic website.
