The Fair is hosted by final year Human Nutrition and Dietetic students, who are keen to encourage visitors to explore different ways to stay healthy.

Taking place on Wednesday February 6 from 10.30am to 1pm in the Small Hall on the University’s Parkgate Road Campus, experts will be on hand to offer healthy lifestyle advice, free food tasting, interactive games, competitions and prizes to help encourage people to think about ways they can lead a healthier life.

Students with the most creative and inspiring stall will also be presented with the Innovative Prize, which is sponsored by HealthBox Community Interest Company.

Stalls at the Nutrition Fair 2019 will include:

  • Binge drink? It’s time to think!
  • Drink smart, think smart
  • The low sugar kitchen
  • An ocean of emotion (emocean)
  • Per-portion-it
  • Young at heart
  • Cut the carcinogens
  • Gut in gear
  • Bone health, vitamin and calcium – an ‘udder’ option
  • Supplemental health
  • F.I.T. – Fitter, Informed, Training
  • Nature’s nectar.

Dr Hibbah Osei-Kwasi, Lecturer in the Department of Clinical Sciences and Nutrition, said: “Our annual nutrition fair is a great way for our students to engage with their peers and members of the public, through their stalls which address important areas of public nutrition. There are also opportunities to try free food samples, which always go down well too!”

The Nutrition Fair 2019 is welcome to all and attendance is free, with no need to book.
