Spring is great because it means the days are lighter and the weather is getting warmer. It’s the perfect time to take a break and to explore what Chester has to offer.

Campuses

We love spring time on our campuses, it signals brighter days and seeing flowers starting to bloom. Staff and students have been sharing some great spring time shots.

Instead of heading to the nearest building, Campus Cat makes the most of the nice weather.

Things to Do

With the weather getting warmer, it’s a great time to explore Chester and the surrounding areas. Whilst exploring, make sure you get the obligatory Eastgate Clock shot. There’s a reason it’s the second most photographed clock in the UK!

Don’t forget to explore the rest of the city, check out the Cathedral or treat yourself to a spot of retail therapy.

Storyhouse in Chester has some great shows and activities planned over the next few months. If you don’t fancy being inside, then there’s always the Grosvenor Open Air Theatre to look forward to.

Named as England’s top attraction outside of London for the seventh year runningChester Zoo has over 21,000 animals for you to spot! See how many you can find as you wonder around.

Why not celebrate that exams are over and have a day out at Chester Races?

Alternatively, make the most of the lighter nights and grab a bite to eat and drink on one of Chester’s many outdoor patios.

Or get yourself an ice cream and sit by the River Dee.
