Why did you choose to study at the University of Chester?

When I planned to study at  the University of Chester, I had a fascination towards visiting London, Liverpool and Manchester. But when I came here, it was the small city of Chester that attracted me most after visiting other places. Chester is a safe city with historical features and the River Dee is sensational- this is my favourite part of the city.

How has the ‘Chester Experience’ been for you?

Studying a MSc in Cardiovascular Disease is  ‘Bringing a Turn’ to my life. It has enriched my academic career by attaining the knowledge of research from basic to advanced level; I also gained an extended knowledge in the cardiovascular field through different lectures of this course. The different modules of this course were taught by a wide range of learned and cultivated teachers, including Professors and Doctors of varsity’s own and a few Guest Lecturers . The teaching sessions were always followed by support sessions as required by the students and I am so amused that I did not find any complexity in receiving feedback and support from Lecturers. My academic progress as well as  my well-being were well monitored by a personal academic tutor (PAT) who was none other than an academic staff. As an international student I found it handy because whenever I found myself  in a tough situation, my PAT was there to help me sort it out.

What are your plans for the future?

At the end the of the course, I am planning to have a PhD degree from renowned University in the  United Kingdom. Studying here at the  University of Chester sets a wonderful prospect for me and I am well guided by the academics now to achieve my dream.
