Hello and welcome back to our Alumni Blog! It’s Hayley here and this week, I am going to tell you about our latest project: The University of Chester in 100 Objects.

This latest project was inspired by the Alumni Team’s vision of bringing together staff, students and alumni. We want to hear what makes the University of Chester special to YOU!

We want you to nominate an object which is symbolic of your time here at the University. This could be related to your studies, department, or the wider University community. Objects can include places, or even animals (Campus Cat, we’re looking at you!).

Our 100 Objects campaign will be a year-long project that will take place throughout 2018. Selected objects will be uploaded to our Instagram page (@ChesterAlumni) and shared on social media. Please don’t worry if you can’t find or don’t have a good photo, we can try and arrange something if needed!

We are also hoping to feature some objects here on the blog too, so please tell us your stories. We would love to share them!

Here in the Alumni and Development Office, we are constantly thinking of ways in which we can connect with alumni of all ages – we value everyone’s perspective! With that in mind, we aim to unite you, our alumni, with our current staff and students too, in identifying what makes the University of Chester such a special place.

We are all about promoting a community of inclusivity for our alumni. As the University is expanding year on year, we want you to still feel connected. So whether you studied at Chester College, Padgate or more recently at the University, we want you to share your memories and stories with us.

If you have an object suggestion, please email it to alumni@chester.ac.uk along with a good quality photo and description of why you are nominating it.

Remember, we always welcome donations of artefacts and photographs too. So if you have something you would like to donate, please get in touch.
