The three second year Events Management students, Amelia Gill, Eadaoin McQuillan and Bliss Richens, have planned the fundraising event for Chester Aid to the Homeless on Saturday, February 19.
Supported by Chester Beer and Wine, the wine tasting evening runs from 7pm to 9pm at its shop in Handbridge.
Amelia said: “Chester Aid to the Homeless (CATH) is a long-established, leading homeless charity in the city, providing a wide range of services. It is carrying out crucial work, offering support, encouragement, and a safety net for homeless people in crisis, in and around Chester.
“When we formed our team, ABE Events, and began planning our event as part of our course, Chester Aid to the Homeless immediately came to mind as the charity we wanted to support.”
She added: “We are really looking forward to running the event. Please come and join us for a fantastic evening of wine tasting, great company and fundraising.”
The event has been kindly sponsored by CSM Security Ltd which provides security services across North Wales and the North West.
Sam Jackson, from Chester Beer and Wine said: "I’m always happy to offer our services to deliver fundraising events because a local business is supported by its local community.
“We have supported a huge number of good causes over the years, and it is our absolute pleasure to work with the students at the University of Chester for this project in aid of Chester Aid to the Homeless.”
Tickets for the Viva La Vino event are priced at £20 plus a booking fee, and can be purchased at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/viva-la-vino-tickets-219814760867 with all proceeds going to Chester Aid to the Homeless.
